The main activities of the department are the preparation of competitive personnel in the field of food production in the following specialties:

  • “Technology of meat and fish products”;
  • “Technology of milk and dairy products”;
  • “Technology of food products for special purposes”;
  • “Technology of canned food andfood concentrates”;
  •  “Technology of production of livestock products.”
  • “Technology of Food products”
  • “Technology of Food products”

The department “Technology of food products” was established in 1986 and is a specialized department of the Almaty Technological University. Currently, the department provides training on the 3 degree system “Bachelor-Master-PhD” to meet there quirements of the Bologna process and standards for the accreditation of engineering programs in the framework of the project EUR-ACE (European Accredited Engineer- European accredited engineer). In 2012, the undergraduate specialty “Technology of food products” passed the International Accreditation, in 2017, it passed ASIINA Gency (Germany) with the right to award the Euro-Engineer (EUR-ACE®) sign.

The ratings of National Agencies (the “Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency in Education” and “National Agency Accra ditatsii and rating”) educational programs of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies “Technology of food products” annually Catching th t the first place.
